Mondays can be a little painful to move from the weekend back to work mode, so I want to share a motivational item every Monday to kick start our week. It’s not necessarily going to be about living on one income, although I hope more often than not that it will tie in with that theme. This is motivation in the form of a quote, a story, a video, or an article or book that I’ve read that will maybe give you something to think about, enjoy, and get us going on a Monday, especially on those rainy Mondays.
This week’s challenge is going to be about us! This week’s challenge is to take some “me” time. We need to look after ourselves too, especially if we are working, running around with the kids, doing our daily household chores, cooking for our family, and the list can go on and on.
In this challenge, I would like if you would find some “me” time at least once a week, or how about 1 hour everyday. Take some time to take a bath, read a book, do your own nails (remember we want to save money too!), do a crossword, take a walk, listen to music, anything that you enjoy. Making the time for yourself will help you to be available to others as well. It refreshes your energy and mind.
The only request is to stay away from your devices. No computer, laptop, tablet, phone or television on this challenge. Pick something outside of being on your devices.
For myself, I want to continue with my challenge to get back to reading more. So for me, doing something for myself would be taking some time each day to read. Even if it’s only a couple of pages.
Let me know what you decided to do for this week’s challenge and tell me if it has given you a sense of peace and relaxation and has it refreshed you or do you feel anxious because you are not working on your necessary items that you need to do each day?
